silo king hay

Silo-King® Hay is a synergistic product whose ingredients are formulated to protect and preserve many types of hay and forages. Built on 50-plus years of extensive laboratory and field research, Silo-King® Hay features a blend of antioxidants, enzymes, and bacteria formulated especially for hay production, Silo-King® Hay is designed to help speed the curing process, limit heating, and reduce spoilage to help give you higher-quality hay.

What Sets Silo-King® Hay Apart?

  • Antioxidants – Restrains heating, helps prevent spoilage, and neutralizes free radicals to deter plant and microbial respiration, resulting in less heating during the “sweat” or “cure out” phase.
  • Proprietary Enzyme Blend – Breaks down plant fibers and speeds up the curing process by allowing moisture to escape, resulting in hay and forage that is more digestible and energy dense.
  • Proprietary Bacteria Blend – Produces energy-rich lactic acid in forages with higher moisture to reduce pH, while outcompeting less-desirable organisms for nutrients
  • Developed and Produced by Agri-King – Manufactured to our specifications based on years of research and trials.

What Types of Hay Does Silo-King® Hay Treat?

Silo-King® Hay treats many different types of hay, including alfalfa hay, grass hay, and baleage. Although formulated for hay, Silo-King® Hay can also be used on fermented feeds such as haylage, oatlage, and ryelage.

How Much Do I Apply?

The application rate is dependent on many factors, including hay type, weather conditions, and moisture percentages. For example, large square bales and round bales will require between 1.0 and 2.0 pounds per ton, while small square bales will need between 0.5 and 2.0 pounds per ton.
